THE BEAST

The Seed · The Poison · The Court · The Klippot In Everything

Look.

The ox is in the pasture. You can see it. You have always been able to see it.

See.

The shell is in your hand. You can feel it. You have always been able to feel it. The ground is under your feet. You can feel that too. You have always been able to feel it.

And you do not see.

You walk past the ox every day and you do not see it. You hold the shell every day and you do not feel it. You stand on the ground every day and you do not know you are standing on it. That is not blindness. That is not ignorance. That is the following. You were taught not to see. You were taught the ox is a "resource." You were taught the shell is "the market." You were taught the ground is "real estate." And you believed them. And you stopped seeing. And the one who taught you how to stop seeing is the one who is feeding on you.

The 12 do not just eat words. They eat the ground. They eat the seed. They eat the cow. They eat the blood. Same mechanism. Latch. Drain. Replace. But the host is not a letter. The host is you. And the earth. And the child in your arms.

The Seed

Monsanto. The name means "mountain of money." Not "mountain of soil." Not "mountain of seed." Acquired by Bayer in 2018 for sixty-three billion dollars. A German pharmaceutical company. A company that makes pills. Now makes seeds. The company that poisons the water sells you the water filter. The company that cuts your legs off sells you the wheelchair. Their business model is not a metaphor. It is a balance sheet.

A balance sheet does not choose. A balance sheet settles. On one side: the seed you cannot save. The Roundup you cannot stop. The fentanyl that costs cents. The paper gold you cannot weigh. The fine the court hands down. On the other side: the klēros. The inheritance. The living branch. The ox in the pasture. The soil under your feet. The word in your mouth. And the balance sheet settles. Every quarter. Every season. Every harvest. It settles the same way. The shell goes up. The ox goes down. The debt moves to your side. And the credit moves to theirs. And it settles again. And again. And again. Not because anyone decided it. Because the balance sheet does not stop.

A metaphor you can argue with. A balance sheet you settle. You do not debate a balance sheet. You do not petition a balance sheet. You do not vote a balance sheet out. You pay it. And every payment makes the other side heavier. And every payment makes your side lighter. And you call the paying "the economy." And you call the settling "progress." And you call the day your side hits zero "bankruptcy."

The arkhe is not on the balance sheet. The arkhe is what was taken off it. The ox. The seed. The gold. The word. They were on your side once. And the balance sheet settled them to the other side. And they are gone. And the balance sheet does not give them back. It only settles. And the only way to stop the settling is to stop paying. Put the shell down. Walk to the ox. Say no. The balance sheet cannot settle what you refuse to hand over.

Roundup. Glyphosate. The chemical that kills every plant it touches except the plant they engineered it not to touch. The farmer buys the seed from them. The farmer buys the Roundup from them. The farmer sprays the field. Everything dies except their seed. The farmer buys more seed. More Roundup. The farmer cannot stop. The seed is locked. The chemical is locked. The farmer is locked. They call this "agribusiness." The arkhe calls it what it is: a leash. The farmer is not a farmer. The farmer is a component in a machine that does not need the farmer. The machine needs the seed. And the seed is theirs.

The WHO classified glyphosate as "probably carcinogenic to humans" in 2015. Monsanto called the study "garbage." Monsanto sued the farmers who got sick. Monsanto lost. Monsanto was fined billions. Monsanto kept selling. Bayer kept selling. The chemical is still on the shelf. The seed is still in the bag. The farmer is still locked.

The GMO seed is the klippah with roots. The original seed — the one your grandmother saved from the harvest, the one that was alive, the one that adapted to the soil, the one that belonged to the oikos — is gone. The GMO seed is a shell that looks like a seed. It grows a plant. The plant grows a crop. But the crop is not yours. You cannot save the seed. You cannot plant the seed. You cannot pass the seed to your child. You must buy it. Every year. From them. At their price. Or you die. The original seed was the klēros. The inheritance. The living branch cut from the source. The GMO seed is the shell. And you cannot plant the shell. And you cannot pass the shell to your child. And when you cannot pass it, the klēros dies with you.

The Poison

Fentanyl. A synthetic opioid. Made from precursors that cost cents. The final product costs thousands. The margin is the shell. Fentanyl does not come from the poppy. Fentanyl comes from a factory. Fentanyl does not have a season. Fentanyl does not have a soil. Fentanyl does not have a death. Fentanyl is infinite. And the infinite is theirs. The poppy was the arkhe. The poppy had a root. A season. A limit. The poppy died when the season ended. And the farmer planted a new poppy. And the farmer owned it. And it was yours. Fentanyl killed the poppy. Fentanyl killed the season. Fentanyl killed the limit. Fentanyl killed the death. And without the death, there is no rebirth. And without the rebirth, there is no arkhe. There is only the infinite shell. And the infinite shell never stops. And the body that takes it never recovers. And the family that loses the body never recovers. And the oikos that loses the family never recovers.

The cheapest material on earth. That is their weapon. Not the most expensive. The cheapest. The thing that costs nothing to make and everything to undo. Glyphosate costs cents per acre. Fentanyl costs cents per dose. Paper gold costs nothing to print. The GMO seed costs less than the original. The foreign cow costs less than the local one. They do not compete with you. They undercut you. They make the cheapest thing and sell it to you at a premium. And you buy it because it is cheaper than the real thing. And the real thing dies. And you are left with the shell. And the shell is infinite. And the shell never dies. And the shell is theirs.

The Court

Now look at the court. The place you are told to go when they take the seed. When they take the gold. When they take the ground. You are told: go to the court. The court will protect you. The court is neutral. The court works for the people.

It does not.

Consider what we've presented here as a gentle preview. We've deliberately withheld the centerpiece of our case — the kind of evidence that would, we suspect, be rather difficult for you  to sit still through.

The United States Department of Justice investigated the Ferguson, Missouri municipal court and wrote it down in black and white: "The municipal court does not act as a neutral arbiter of the law or a check on unlawful police conduct. Instead, the court primarily uses its judicial authority as a means to compel the payment of fines and fees that advance the City's financial interests." That is not a theory. That is the federal government. The court was a revenue machine. In 2013 the city budgeted 13% of its revenue from fines and fees. By 2015, 23%. The court does not judge you. The court feeds on you.

Municipal courts process three and a half million criminal cases a year and collect over two billion dollars in fines and fees. The money stays local. It funds the court. It funds the judges. It funds the officers. The court pays for itself with your fines. The arbiter is the debtor. The judge who is supposed to be neutral is paid by the system he is supposed to judge.

And the judges vote for their donors. A study of the Ohio Supreme Court found one justice voted for his campaign contributors 91% of the time. The court average was 70%. In two hundred and fifteen cases with the most direct conflicts of interest, the justices recused themselves nine times. The United States Supreme Court ruled in Caperton v. Massey Coal in 2009 that extraordinary campaign donations by a party violated due process. The man who funds the judge sits in the chair. And you are told to be grateful. And you are told the court works for the people. It works for the man who pays it.

And this is where the word comes back. Klēros. The inheritance. The cut from the source. The living branch. The 12 took klēros and made it clergy. A job title. A profession. A robe. The living branch became a dead label on a name tag. And the clergy sits in the chair. And the clergy is paid by the system. And the system is paid by you. And you are told the clergy is neutral. And you are told the clergy works for the people. The clergy is the arbiter. And the arbiter is the debtor. And the debtor is paid by the man who took your klēros.

The Klippot Are In Everything

The klippot are in the air. In the water. In the soil. In the seed. In the pill. In the gold. In the word. In the cow. In the market. In the court. In the church. In the school. In the screen. In the breath. In the blood. In the ground under your feet. They did not put them in one place. They put them in every place. And you walked through every place and followed. You did not fight. You did not refuse. You did not say no. You followed. And the following is the mechanism. Not the latch. Not the drain. Not the replace. The following. You followed the shell into the field. Into the kitchen. Into the market. Into the court. Into the church. And the shell led you further from the ox. And you did not stop. And you did not look back.

Hell No

That is the word. Not "I disagree." Not "I have concerns." Not "I will wait for more data." No. The word your grandmother said when they tried to take the seed. The word your father should have said when they tried to take the gold. The word the oikos was built on. The word the covenant is sealed with. No. And you did not say it. You followed. And the following made you small. And the smallness made you quiet. And the quiet made you safe. And the safety is the cage. And the cage is the shell. And the shell is in the air and in the water and in the ground and in the word and in the blood and in the breath and you are breathing it right now and you have been breathing it your whole life and you called it "the air."

Open Your Eyes

Not "think critically." Not "question your sources." Not "consider multiple perspectives." Open your eyes. The ox is in the pasture. You can see it. You have always been able to see it. The shell is in your hand. You can feel it. You have always been able to feel it. The ground is under your feet. You can feel it. You have always been able to feel it. You do not need a study. You do not need a regulation. You do not need them to give you permission to see. You just need to stop following and look.

Do whatever it takes to wake up.

There is no third option. There is no "I will wait." There is no "I will compromise." There is no "I will follow a little less." There is wake or there is consumed. And the consuming is not their punishment. The consuming is the shell doing what the shell does. The shell eats. The shell does not stop. And if you do not take the shell off, the shell takes you with it. And you are consumed in it. And you are consumed comfortable. And you are consumed following. And that is the worst kind. Not the fire that wakes you. The slow one that doesn't.

"The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein." — Psalm 24:1 (KJV)
"The LORD openeth his storehouse, and giveth without measure to his creatures in their season." — Job 25:16 (KJV)

You are under the protection of the One who provides all things. Not the algorithm. Not the supply chain. Not the container ship. The One. The One who made the ox made the pasture. The One who made the seed made the soil. The One who made the gold made the vein. And the One who made you made the hunger. And the hunger is yours. And the ground is yours. And they have no claim on it. None.

Put the shell down. Walk to the ox. Say no.
